A POP star who shot to fame in the nineties is set to visit Basingstoke to launch a new kickboxing class for women.
Shane Lynch, who is a member of boyband Boyzone, will be at Cranbourne Business and Enterprise College, in Wessex Close, on April 13 for the launch of Matt Fiddes Ladies Only kickboxing, having endorsed the exercise class.
Matt, whose celebrity clients have included Michael Jackson and Peter Andre, will also be at the opening event, when women can take part in free taster sessions from 6pm to 7pm and 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
The classes will be run by instructors Damien Harfield and Kev Bowley.
Damien said: "Most women are looking for a fun way to hit their personal goals such as toning up or weight loss. We also have a tracker so they set their own targets and goals and test them every month."
Shane added: "For ladies I think it is wonderful as you can learn how to defend yourself while keeping in shape."
