Mary was a steadfast friend whose warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on us. From the moment we met fortuitously as over breakfast in The Hague, as far back as 1971. her genuine smile and welcoming demeanor drew us into a friendship that spanned five decades. Together with her late husband Godfrey, Mary embodied the essence of friendship, remaining a constant presence in our lives despite the many miles that have often separated us.
Her passing leaves a tremendous gap in our hearts, although her memory lives on in the countless moments of laughter, shared stories, and cherished memories we hold dear. Mary's strength and resilience were evident in her unwavering support during both joyous and challenging times.
Though our paths have diverged across the globe, Mary's enduring friendship served as a beacon of light. Her legacy of love and compassion will forever remain etched in our hearts, a testament to the beautiful soul she was.
Rest in peace, dear Mary. Your presence will be deeply missed, but your spirit will continue to inspire us always.
