A MAPLEDURWELL firm is shedding some light on money-saving opportunities now that businesses are required to take a long hard look at how they use energy.

New legislation means that many businesses will have to carry out energy audits, thanks to the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS), which came into force in July.

LED by Vision, based in Tunworth Road, is keen to help businesses reduce energy consumption, especially as energy costs seem to continually go up.

Tyrone Garrick, head of business development, said: “We help businesses be more sustainable by offering to help reduce their lighting costs.

“To ensure a business is sustain-able often means being innovative, and that’s where we can help. In fact, we’re keen to help businesses keep the lights on without worrying about the costs.”

The firm designs bespoke lighting solutions where clients can replace traditional lights with energy efficient LEDs.

“We have a whole range of retrofit and full-fittings solutions that can cater for every business,” said Tyrone.

“Our team will work hand-in-hand with our clients to ensure minimum disruption to their business and the same goes for householders looking to switch to LEDs too.”

Sales director Sean Costello said: “Typically, lighting will account for about 25 to 30 per cent of a business’ energy costs. Our LED lighting solutions can save about 50 to 90 per cent on lighting costs.”

He cites where recent clients such as Chequers Road Dental Practice and Festival Plaice Restaurant, in Basingstoke, are set to reduce lighting costs by more than 60 per cent.

Upbeat about business, Sean said: “Business is going well, in part because in our approach we believe consultation is key. We offer complimentary kit where we supply our lights for a minimum of 14 days to see what response a client gets from their team or customers.”

Tyrone added: “Our products have a 50,000 hour-plus life expectancy compared to a traditional lamp life which is 10,000 hours.

“To show we really put our money where our mouth is, all products supplied are guaranteed for five years against partial or full failure, virtually eliminating maintenance costs for this period and providing peace of mind.

“These are not off-the-shelf products, and are quality LEDs which we have spent time developing, ensuring they meet the needs of the customer.”
