A CHARITY which provides training for people with learning difficulties has pulled in the pounds for a Basingstoke school.
Loddon Social Enterprise Limited, which is based in Brunswick Place, Basingstoke, raised £640 for Saxon Wood School, in Rooksdown, to go towards presents to be given to children at their Christmas party this month.
Around 40 people, including service users and volunteers at the charity, gathered at a coffee morning where plenty of cake and tea was served in aid of the fundraising effort.
Shida Kippie, workshop assistant at Loddon Social Enterprise, said: “It was a real success and we didn’t expect to raise that much money.
“It is very important because it will raise money to get Christmas presents for the children at the school.
“We thought we would do something different this year so we decided to raise money for the school.”
