A MAN who died in a lorry crash on the A34 has been named as Simon Shore.
The 53-year-old, from Highworth near Swindon, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that took place on the northbound carriageway of the A34 near Whitchurch at 5.45pm on Saturday.
Mr Shore was the front seat passenger of a Vauxhall Zafira that was in collision with an HGV lorry.
Three other people in the car sustained minor injuries.
A post-mortem is expected to take place tomorrow morning.
The driver of the HGV, Piotr Janowski, 48, from Poland, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court today.
