PAINT has been splattered all over a telephone box in Whitchurch after paint was stolen from a secondary school.
Police are investigating after thieves broke into Testbourne Community School, in Micheldever Road, by breaking a window last Friday between 11.30pm and 9.45am.
Several plastic bottles of paint were stolen and it is believed they were used to vandalise a phone box in Queens Street, Whitchurch, and vehicles parked in The Knowlings.
Whitchurch town council John Buckley, who photographed the damage caused to the phone box, said: “The good thing is that it is water based paint so whilst it’s a mess, it can be cleaned up.”
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who might have been in the Micheldever Road and Queens Street area at the time or who might have seen anyone acting suspiciously or possibly carrying plastic bottles.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Paula Deery on 101, quoting 44150098032.
