A NEW exhibit opens at Marwell Zoo this month.

Experience the African wilderness first hand in Wild Explorers, which is the Hampshire park’s newest and biggest exhibit to date.

Marwell is actively involved in conserving the three iconic species – white rhinos, scimitar-horned oryx and Grevy’s zebra – housed in this new exhibit, so its setting and design will reveal how Marwell studies and observes these species in the wild.

With unrestricted views and ‘spy in the grass’ cameras, visitors will have a fantastic view of the animals, both near and far, from the raised observation boardwalk.

Complete with a safari vehicle resting by the water hole, the discovery zone aims to awaken visitors’ inner explorer as it guides them in how to radio-track, how to decipher clues from bones in the sand, or how to identify zebras through their unique stripes.

The exhibit also offers covered areas for exhibitions and education plus a new children’s play area. Visit marwell.org.uk.
