Lions clubs to hold fun day
THE Lions Clubs of Basingstoke, Hook & Odiham and Loddon Valley are to hold a fun day in Basingstoke town centre.
The groups will show how their clubs serve their local communities at Queen Anne’s Square, Festival Place, on Saturday, August 1.
Lenny the Basingstoke Lion and his ‘tamer’ will prowl The Malls, handing out tickets which can be swapped at their stand for competition entry forms.
The variety of competitions on offer include the King of the Jungle Quiz, Find the Lions game, Colour Me Gorgeous colouring competition and a raffle.
Prizes include £50 cash, a Lion cake, a box of Lion Bars and a pair of concert tickets.
