THE BODY of a former soldier was found badly decomposed, an inquest heard.
An inquest held at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday was told that the body of William Furley, 63, was found at his home in Gander Drive, Rooksdown on May 3.
North East Hampshire coroner Andrew Bradley told the inquest that Mr Furley’s body was in an “advanced stage of decomposition”.
From Mr Furley’s GP notes, Mr Bradley said he could see he suffered with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and had also complained of back pain.
Mr Bradley recorded an open verdict. He said: “There is no indication of why he is dead, particularly in the absence of a conclusive post mortem result.”
