ORGANISERS of CarFest South are gearing up for a second day of live music and entertainment.

Thousands of people have flocked to Laverstoke Park Farm near Overton for the three-day music and motoring festival.

Last night saw Bob Geldof take to the main stage with his band The Boomtown Rats, before headline act Jools Holland.

Earlier in the evening, visitors could watch a live recording of The One Show for BBC One, as well performances by Scouting For Girls and cover band The Lionels.

Today’s line up includes Texas, The Feeling, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Seasick Steve. Paloma Faith will headline the main stage from 10pm.

There will also be the popular Cakes v Pies competition and a classic car auction.
