THE Range has announced that its new Basingstoke store will open next month.

The new store will be located at Gastons Wood Industrial Estate, on the A33 Reading Road, near Chineham Business Park and will be officially opened by the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Councillor Anne Court, at 9am on Friday, November 13.

On the day, Heart Radio’s ‘Heart Angels’ will be giving away £250 in Range vouchers to one lucky winner and the store will also be offering fantastic giveaways to the first 50 people in the queue.

Youngsters will also be entertained by the company’s mascot, Captain Range, who will be handing out balloons on the day.

The Range is owned by Plymouth-based entrepreneur Chris Dawson and is expected to bring an additional 80 part-time and full-time jobs to the area.

The Basingstoke store will offer a range of products across 16 departments and will also have an outdoor garden centre and a cafe.

Chris Dawson said: “We are very excited to be opening a store in Basingstoke and are certain that it will be a welcome addition to the local community.

“Each store plays an important part in the success of our company and it is essential that we have the right employees, we are very lucky with the staff we have and look forward to inviting the new team members to the company.”
