TWO other vehicles have been stolen from driveways in Basingstoke following a string of car thefts.
The latest incident takes the total number of cars stolen to six in just under four weeks.
Police received reports of a black Audi Q3s being stolen from a property in Speckled Wood Road, Sherborne St John, between 9pm on January 21 and 11am on January 22.
Officers believe the keys were stolen using a magnetic device through the letterbox to unhook the keys.
As reported on The Gazette website, days later overnight on January 28/29, two vehicles were taken from a property in Chineham.
Another vehicle was then stolen on Sunday, in Old Worting Road.
The Silver Mercedes SLK 55 was taken from the property sometime after 8pm.
The offenders broke into the kitchen of the property and took the car keys along with a wallet.
An investigation has been launched into the incidents and police are not ruling out the possibility of them being linked.
Police advise people to keep keys locked away inside, in a place that would not be easily accessible.
