PUPILS from an Overton primary took part in the largest school choir in the world when they performed at the O2.

Nearly 30 youngsters from Overton Primary School travelled to the O2 to take part in the Young Voices concert at the London venue.

The event brings together thousands of children who all perform together at the same time in front of an audience of family and friends.

It combines the power of singing together as one, with accompaniment from a wide range of musicians and artists, to create an amazing performance.

Children from Overton Primary School practised the songs, to prepare for the massive concert.

Guest stars at the O2 included soprano singer Laura Wright, beatboxers The Beatbox Collective and street-dance troupe Urban Strides.

Songs performed during the show included a Madness medley, songs from Queen and a Gospel music medley.

Pupils from Years 5 and 6 at Overton Primary School took part in the show, joined by teachers Amy Parsons and Mel Stewart.

Mrs Stewart said: “It was an incredible, unforgettable experience for our children.”
