MANY people fantasise about creating their dream home, but would never imagine seeing it in the window of an estate agents.

This was a privilege afforded to pupils from St Mark’s CofE Primary School, in Danebury Road, who were challenged to draw their dream house and come up with a description of its features.

The competition was organised by Connells estate agents in Broadmere Road, Beggerwood was set up to get children thinking creatively as well as descriptively.

Seven winners have now had their designs put in the window for passers-by to see.

Connells negotiator, Darren Minton, said: "Some of the designs are rather unique." described some of the designs students came up with as “exotic.”

He said: “All the children really got behind the idea, and we had all 600 students from the school in the assembly to congratulate the winners.

“Some of the designs are rather unique, but it just shows how vivid an imagination young children have.

“Since the pictures have gone up in our branch window we’ve already had people come down and point them out to family and friends.”

As well as their ‘dream homes’ appearing in the branch window,
Each student received a £25 gift voucher, and Connells made a £250 donation to the school.

“We want to continue to work with the school and are already in talking about what we can do in the future," added Mr Minton
