A BASINGSTOKE man has been charged following an investigation into dozens of house burglaries in Basingstoke.
Jonathan Martin Marney, 28, of Mill Road, Rooksdown, is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court today having been charged with conspiracy to commit a burglary dwelling with intent to steal.
The alleged conspiracy covers 36 burglaries that have taken place in the Basingstoke area between March 7 and July 25 this year.
A 27-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a burglary dwelling with intent to steal and is currently in police custody.
A 28-year-old woman from Basingstoke, arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a burglary dwelling with intent to steal, has been bailed until September 19, pending further enquiries.
