We will be running a fundraiser from February 19 until 25 and we are appealing for any companies, individuals and schools to help fundraise to make a difference in local children's lives.

In 2023 our charity Spotlight UK funded 259 people to go to Living Rainforest, 300 people went to Chessington, 400 visited 4 Kingdoms and 6,324 spaces were taken up in free and highly subsidised activities like bowling, swimming, high score arcade, donutting, trampolining and paddleboarding.

These spaces included armed forces families, children in care, young carers, children affected by domestic abuse, children with mental health issues, physical health issues, or terminal illness and their families, low-income families, and children affected by loss and separation.

As a charity, we have provided 2,134 mental health care packs to children, 470 mental health packs for adults, 3,148 Christmas presents and 135 special experiences for children referred by schools including children with long-term medical conditions/mental health issues or terminal illness, young carers, children in care, children affected by domestic or loss and separation.

The special experiences have included West End theatre tickets, junior driving experiences, go-karting, clip 'n climb, pamper sessions, paddleboarding, laser tag, and Go Ape visits.

The money we raise in February will help us change the lives of local children.

We are grateful for the money Keith Longman raised as Santa on a bike in December, which was featured in the Gazette, as it will make a massive difference and will go towards this appeal.

Our view is we cannot take away the past but we can help make new memories.
