AN AWARD-winning production company will present a darkly comic story of devil-may-care Lady Susan - a scheming black widow on a double fortune hunt - in Basingstoke.
Dyad Productions will bring Austen's Women: Lady Susan to The Haymarket on Saturday, April 20 at 7.30pm.
Presented alongside her are figures such as oppressed daughter Frederica, long-suffering sister-in-law Catherine, family matriarch Mrs De Courcy, and carefree best friend Alicia.

Set in Regency England, the characters depict women trapped within societal norms, struggling with their desires and manipulations.
The plot, based on Jane Austen's first full-length work from 1794 and created entirely from letters, is performed by Rebecca Vaughan and directed by Andrew Margerison.
The production is a collaboration with The Old Town Hall, Hemel Hempstead.
