A FAMILY social club in Basingstoke has donated more than £4,000 to a cancer charity based at the hospital in Basingstoke.

Basingstoke Conservative Club presented a cheque worth £4,180.28 to the ARK Cancer Charity team on Friday, March 8.

The charity is dedicated to enhancing the experience of patients receiving cancer treatment at Hampshire Hospital Foundation Trust (HHFT). Through the charity’s grants policy it is able to fund wellbeing services which the NHS cannot currently deliver.

The club prides itself on supporting charities which are of benefit to the whole of the community.

Club members have a special affinity with this charity as some of them have required some of the services offered in the past.
