READERS of the Basingstoke Gazette have told us their favourite places to buy fish and chips.
A post on the Basingstoke Gazette's Facebook page attracted scores of comments from people keen to share their favourite spots in the town.
Oliver's in Old Basing came top, with 43 readers declaring it the superior chippy.
Tracey Knight said "Oliver’s definitely, I've never had a bad meal there in 30+ years... And I am fussy!!"
Andy Pope said "Oliver’s is the best around.. by far…"
Burnaby Bao Diep Fish Bar, in Burnaby Close was a strong second place.
Sharon Louise Beagriewrote "Burnaby Bao Diep. Best fish anywhere. Great Portion sizes too."
