Two persons have been charged after a man was stabbed in Aldershot.

As previously reported, police were called at 2.23am on Wednesday, April 10, to reports that a man in his 20s had been stabbed near the basketball court in Municipal Gardens in Aldershot. 

He suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital to receive treatment.

Officers have now charged two men in connection with the incident.

Nathan O’Brien, 24, of Coe Close, Aldershot, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Robert Sifile, 27, of Cambridge Road, Aldershot, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. 

Both men are due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Friday, April 12. 

A 31-year-old man from Aldershot arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent has been released and will face no further action.
