A PARTIAL closure order has been given to stop anyone being allowed to enter or remain at a property in Oakley.

On Friday, April, 12, Basingstoke Magistrates' Court was presented with evidence of antisocial behaviour at the property in Chestnuts Close.

The closure order was granted and it means that no-one other than those authorised on the court order will be allowed to enter or remain at the address for the next three months.

If they do, they will be committing a criminal offence and can be arrested.

The order was obtained following partnership work with police officers, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Vivid.

Basingstoke Rural Police Sergeant Martyn Evans said: “We have taken these steps after receiving reports of anti-social behaviour at an address in Oakley.

“The activities of those living and visiting the address have had an enormous impact on local residents, and we would like to thank the community for their help and patience while we gathered evidence to secure this order.

“Our officers will continue to do everything they can to help prevent anti-social behaviour in Basingstoke and Deane.”
