BASINGSTOKE Tae Kwon-Do Club’s Eashan Joshi won a silver medal at the Welsh Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain in Cardiff.
The eight-year-old competed in the Yellow Belt Pattern Division.
Club instructor Charles Gellard said: “This is a huge achievement as this is a very well attended tournament, with well over 1,000 competitors.
“So, for Eashan to win silver is a great inspiration for our other members.”
In other news from the club, Aidan Graves, who started training at the age of five, has achieved his Second Degree Black Belt.
Graves, who is now 14, has dedicated nearly two-thirds of his life to this very popular martial art.
Gellard said “I am very proud of Aidan as he is a very good role model within the club and is always willing to help teach the junior students.”
Basingstoke Tae Kwon-Do club has been established for nearly 25 years. Training takes place at The Costello School on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
