READING enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 victory over visiting relegated Fulham in the Championship, to move up to ninth in the table.
Glenn Murray capped a fine debut with two goals, in a game in which the visitors were reduced to 10 men after 18 minutes.
This was after Fulham’s Matt Smith was shown a straight red card for a lunge on Hope Akpan.
At this point, the London side were already a goal down, after Murray headed in Jordan Obita’s free-kick.
The same player doubled the advantage, after 54 minutes as he nodded in Obita’s corner.
Then with five minutes left, sub Nick Blackman netted a third for the home side, which sent Fulham to the bottom of the Championship.
The Royals are at home again on Tuesday night (kick-off 8pm), against visiting Millwall, who are seventh.
