TADLEY Calleva produced the biggest shock of the Hampshire Senior Cup for many years, as they knocked out holders Basingstoke Town after a penalty shoot-out.

The second round tie ended 2-2 at the Soccer AM Stadium after 90 minutes and went straight to penalties which Tadley won 5-4.

Rob Rice gave the home side the lead after 19 minutes with an excellent strike and on the hour mark Brett Denham equalised.

Louie Soares gave Town the lead again from the penalty spot, but with five minutes left Andrew Charsley hammered in a free-kick to send the game to a penalty shoot-out.

After five spot kicks each the scores were level at 4-4.

Callum Bush put Tadley Calleva ahead 5-4 and then Town’s new signing Jamie Brown fired over which sparked wild celebration from the visiting fans.
