READING suffered their second 3-0 defeat in the space of four days in the Championship, as they lost at AFC Bournemouth.

There was no score in the first 45 minutes, with the home side’s Matt Richie coming closest as he hit the post with a curling effort.

The Cherries took the lead, five minutes after the break, as Callum Wilson headed in Marc Pugh’s cross.

Wilson then turned provider for Brett Pitman to double the advantage, and the same player scored again on 64 minutes to make sure of the victory.

The Royals have now gone seven games without a win and the pressure is mounting on manager Nigel Adkins.

After the game Reading boss Adkins said: “If you lose a couple of games in this division you're under pressure.

"For me the foundations are in place to move forward and we will all work hard and grind away to ensure that can happen."

Reading will be hoping to snap their recent run less win, when they entertain bottom side Blackpool on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
