ALEX Izzo hit a hat-trick to help Soldiers Return through to the next round of the North Hants Senior Cup.
The Basingstoke and District Sunday League side went ahead after 10 minutes when Izzo fired in from 25 yards, but Winchester side FC Exchange soon levelled.
Fred Cloke put Soldiers Return back in front and Izzo’s second made it 3-1 at half-time. A rebound enabled Izzo to complete his hat-trick after the break.
Tron needed extra-time to win 5-3 away at Whitenap. Vially Thomas and Charlie Palmer both scored twice, with Chris Morris netting Tron’s other goal from the penalty spot.
Dayers Fine Foods lost 2-1 at home to South Wonston Swifts. They trailed 2-0 at half-time but pulled a goal back with 15 minutes to go and hit the post in the last minute.
There were two derbies, with Republic of Chineham beating Oakley 3-2 and South View recording a 3-0 victory over Kaiser Wessex.
