OVERTON United sprang a surprise in the Basingstoke Senior Cup last night, beating Southern League outfit Fleet Town 3-2 in a dramatic cup tie.
Visiting Overton took the lead just before the half-hour mark, Chris Morris firing home from 25 yards to give them an advantage that they held on to until the break.
Fleet pulled level after 65 minutes, but Overton responded well and regained the lead when Luke Neller smashed in an excellent shot from distance.
The hosts equalised for a second time from a free-kick with five minutes to go, but Overton won the game in the dying moments, Ollie Bode heading home a Neller cross to put his side through.
Overton are in cup action again on Saturday, hosting Bournemouth League side AFC Burton in the Hampshire Intermediate Cup.
