DG ATHLETIC enjoyed their first away win of the season last Sunday, when most of the scheduled games were postponed due to torrential rain over the previous few days.

Goals from Liam Rump and Chris Todd helped DG Athletic to a 2-1 win at Andover League side AFC Wolversdene A in the North Hants John Ward Cup.

In the same competition, Andover RBL beat Eastrop Eagles 3-1, with the Eagles’ lone reply coming from Tom Kelly.

Team continued their excellent recent good run of form with a 5-0 win at Welcome Stranger.

The visitors were 2-0 up at half-time and also had the luxury of missing a penalty in their 5-0 victory.

There was one game in the Bernard Cornish Cup and Oakley Reserves achieved their first home win of the season, beating Chine-ham Reserves 5-0.

Liam Dalton scored one and Russell Smith found the net four times.

RAF Odiham Blades made it into the third round of the Hampshire Junior A Cup without kicking a ball on Sunday as their opponents, Horndean United, were unable to raise a team.

There was just one Basingstoke and District Sunday League game last weekend, Kaiser Wessex losing 2-1 at home to Oakley in Division One.
