AFC Aldermaston bounced back from their Basingstoke Senior Cup defeat to Overton United with a good home win in the Thames Valley Premier League.
Local rivals Mortimer made the short trip to Aldermaston on Saturday and it was the visitors who took the lead on 21 minutes, Gregg Beckett finding the net.
They remained ahead at half-time, but Liam Tackley levelled the scores just after the hour and Matty Wilkins’ fantastic free-kick had the hosts in front on 72 minutes. Kai Parton-Edey provided the finishing touch to a break led byy Omar Cofie and Wilkins to complete the scoring late on.
The result leaves Aldermaston eighth in the table ahead of a trip to mid-table Rotherfield United this Saturday.
