READING drew 0-0 with 10 men Millwall in the Championship at the New Den on Tuesday evening.

The home side were a man short for the whole of the second half, after Sid Nelson was given a straight red card, following a late challenge on Michael Hector moments before the break.

The Royals who are seven points clear of the relegation zone, sensed the chance to take all three points.

Jordan Obita and Daniel Williams both forced saves from Lions’ goalkeeper David Forde.

The home side also had their chances to win the game, but Lee Gregory and Jos Hooiveld failed to convert them.

Reading manager Steve Clarke said: “I am frustrated more than disappointed. We got into some good positions, but could not create anything clear-cut."

Next up for the Royals in the Championship, is a visit from mid-table Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
