IT WAS a tough way to lose in Guildford last week, as they scored the winning goal 10 seconds from time.

We then bounced back with a narrow win over Sheffield in a game in which we never gave up. We kept creating chances and finally we got our reward with a couple of goals in the last period.

We have a number of guys out of the line-up at the moment, but the key thing is that we have depth in the squad to cover for this, and everyone is stepping up to the plate.

It proves what a good pick-up Ryan Watt was for us last month, as he is now playing an important role down the middle.

Also, Stuart Mogg has not looked out of place since his switch from forward duties to a place on defence.

Of course, with players out of the line-up, we have had to change our line combinations.

Muzzy (Michael) Wales had an excellent game alongside new line mates Ciaran Long and Joe Greener against Sheffield and they were unlucky not to score.

Despite all of the missing players, the mood in the dressing room remains good as we have a great group of guys who will give their all for the team on every shift.

We are looking to have Grant Rounding back in the line-up this weekend, while Aaron Connolly is day-to-day at the moment and we hope to have Tomas Karpov back for the play-offs.

I am looking forward to having a healthy team for the play-offs as we will be going all-out to defend our title.

We have the toughest weekend you could ask for coming up as we play the teams first and second in the standings, but you can be sure we will be giving our all to get a result in both games.

All the best,

Doug
