Basingstoke Strikers
BASINGSTOKE Strikers disabled football team enjoyed a hard-earned 10-8 victory over AFC Bournemouth 'Ability Counts' at the Vyne School.
Rory Matthias and Thomas Davis both scored memorable goals, while Adam Smith marshalled the defence and goalkeeper Barrie Bridges made some good saves.
Adult disabled players interested in joining the team should contact coach Stuart Race on 07783 401475 or chairman Mike Stockwell on 07425 141739.
The club is also on the lookout for a safeguarding/welfare officer. Anyone interested in that role should contact Stockwell.
