LONDON Irish came from behind to beat visiting Sale Sharks 25-23 in the Premiership at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday.
The visitors got off to a great start as Tom Arscott scored an early try which Cipriani failed to convert.
Two penalties from Exiles' Chris Noakes made it 6-5, before Sale's Mike Haley scored another unconverted try.
The home side hit back to take a 13-10 lead by the break, as Andrew Fenby scored and Noakes added the extras.
After the interval, a Cipriani penalty and a converted Arscott try put Sale in front again.
However, the Exiles hit back as Alex Lewington scored twice with the second being converted by Noakes for a 25-20 advantage. A late penalty from Cipriani reduced the lead to two by the end.
Irish are next in Premiership action away at Bath on Friday April 24 (kick-off 7.45pm).
