IT HAS been a good season for Tadley Tigers RFC Under-15s who secured second place in the Berkshire A League with a hard-fought win on the final day of the campaign.
Ethan Walters’ try was added to by Sean Robinson, who kicked two penalties and a conversion, as the Tigers claimed a 13-0 victory away at Reading in wet and windy conditions.
The game was something of a war of attrition, with Tadley’s forwards doing the damage. Rory Barraclough was named man of the match, with Billy James, Charlie Dominy, Owain Donoghue and Leo Webb also producing fine displays.
Good forward play has been a feature of Tadley’s play this season, while the backs, who are coached by Paul Denning, have improved massively over the course of the campaign, putting together some impressive moves.
The senior team’s difficult London Two South West campaign came to an end with a 45-26 defeat to visiting KCS Old Boys last Saturday. They will be relegated to London Three South West after finishing bottom of the table.
