FOUR wins in the space of seven days clinched the Basingstoke and District Sunday League Division Two title for FC Everest.

A 6-1 win away at Hampshire Irons in the only game to be played on Easter Sunday was followed by a 2-1 win over title rivals UWS two days later. Just 48 hours after that, they were in action again, beating Oakley Reserves 7-0, while a 3-0 win over closest rivals New Inn sealed the title on Sunday.

Chineham are unbeaten in four games after playing out a 0-0 draw away at North Warnborough II. There were only a handful of chances created, but both sides did rattle the woodwork. UWS beat Oakley Reserves 3-1.

Eastrop Eagles were crowned Division Three champions with a 1-0 win away at Chineham Reserves, while Team FC secured second place with a 7-0 win over Chineham Athletic.

Soldiers Return Reserves and AFC Golden Lion played out a 1-1 draw. There were no goals in the first half, but Aaron Burt opened the scoring with a shot from the edge of the area, his shot going in off the post. James Boshier scrambled home an equaliser for Soldiers.

Dave Parry hit a hat-trick as Tron brushed aside Dayer’s Fine Foods in Division One, winning 7-1. Cianni Thomas bagged a brace, with Jesse Todd and Michael Moray also finding the net for the winners.

Freddie Cloke opened the scoring with a powerful header to give Soldiers Return the lead in their game against Basingstoke Saints. Alex Izzo doubled the lead before half-time, with Cloke adding a third from the penalty spot after the break after James Hill had been fouled.

Andy Darracott gave Saints hope of staging a comeback, but Izzo’s second of the game secured a 4-1 win for Soldiers Return.

Lamb Inn and Oakley cancelled each other out, drawing 1-1.
