I phoned Ospreys’ chairman Maurice Parsons last week. The reception was bad, so I asked him where he was.

After a pause, he said: “I’m in a shop.”

“What shop?” I replied immediately.

There was a sheepish tone in his voice as he said: “I’m buying some curtain material.”

Need I say more?

Catch me next week.
