BASINGSTOKE Bluefins' swimmers took part in the Reading Cygnets Learning Disability meeting, with swimmers allowed to enter up to three individual races.

Everyone swam exceptionally well, with Joseph Pavey looking really strong on the first leg of his 50m freestyle. He did even better in the 25m freestyle relay.

Jessica Draper took part in her first-ever 50m breaststroke and came first in her heat.

Michael and Connor Bates both had really good 50m freestyle races, coming first in their heats.

Tom Want had a really energetic 50m freestyle coming in first.

George Allen had a nice strong start and fast turn in his 50m freestyle.

Joseph Rose, racing in his first meet, did exceptionally well looked really strong in the 25m backstroke.

Ciarán Kelly produced a great finish in the 50m free-style, moving up from fifth to third in the last five metres.

Courtney Holding produced a strong 50m freestyle with a great finish, while as did Jack Goodwin and Scott Howe whose had really strong 50m freestyle swims had them fighting as they fought it out for first position.

Josh Futcher finished well strongly in the 100m freestyle, taking more than 15 seconds off his personal best as he came first in his heat.

Ciarán Kelly also participated took part in two special Olympic open water events.

He finished fifth in the Wales National Open Water Championships at Bryn Bach Park, Tredegar and collected another fifth place finish at the South East Regionals in a new personal best time.
