ROSS Cook bagged in a second-half hat-trick as Hartley Wintney enjoyed a magnificent 7-0 win at Cove on Tuesday night.

This maintained Hartley's 100 per cent start in the top against bottom clash in the Combined Counties League Premier Division clash.

The visitors led 4-0 at half-time, after Stephen Duff, Adam Everiss, Sam Argent and Ian Jones all found the net.

Cook then hogged the scoring after the break with an excellent trio.

Joint manager Dan Brownlie was really pleased with the performance and said: "This is most we have dominated any game this season and everything went for us on the night."

Next up for Hartley is a chance to cause another upset in the FA Cup on Saturday, when they welcome Southern League Division One outfit Banbury United to the Memorial Ground.

The village side have made an excellent start to the season and will go into Saturday's preliminary round tie knowing that victory could earn them a home tie against local rivals Fleet Town in the first qualifying round.

The draw was made on Monday, with Hartley or Banbury pulled out of the hat alongside the winners of the tie between Badshot Lea and Southern League side Fleet Town.

Then on Tuesday night, Hartley are in Hampshire Senior Cup, making the short trip to face Tadley Calleva, with a home tie against Aldershot Town the prize on offer to the winners.
