THE Basingstoke under-20 Bison moved to the top of South One after a comfortable 6-2 victory over visiting Oxford.

The home side took the lead at 17:29 as Josh Richards netted assisted by Sam Compton, but the visitors were level 23 seconds later and took the lead before the first buzzer.

However, this was to be their last, as the home side hit five unanswered goals the first being scored by Paul Petts and two minutes later Matt Levy made it 3-2.

The final period saw Richards score again and then eight seconds later the same line struck again as Hallam Wilson scored.

It was left to George Gill to complete the scoring assisted by Jak Enticknap and Charlie West.

Cameron Buckle had a hand in four of the seven under-18 Bison goals as they beat visiting Milton Keynes.

The visitors were quickly out of the blocks and scored after 84 seconds, but the game was level by the first buzzer as Elliott Sherwood-Clarke netted from Buckle and William Pratt.

The second session belonged to the home side as they won it 4-1 Sam Brooks was first to score and then Buckle netted shorthanded.

Ryan Smith extended the lead further assisted by Gill and Christian Han scored from West which made it 5-1, before MK pulled a goal back.

Just 15 seconds into the final period Buckle netted his second of the game and Richards added their seventh goal, before the visitors scored a late consolation.

Lucas Swierc helped himself to a hat-trick as the under-15 Bison extended their lead at the top of South Two after a 5-1 win at Swindon.

It was the home side who scored first, but the lead only lasted eight seconds as Swierc levelled assisted by player of the match Emily Harris.

The young Herd took the lead four minutes later as Cain Russell finished a nice move which involved Thomas Banner and Oliver Bower.

Matthew West then wrapped up a 3-1 first period as he scored from Bradley Poole and Sam Stephens.

The middle session saw just one goal scored by Swierc assisted by Travis Penny and Oliver Reeves.

Swierc's hat-trick strike wrapped up the scoring from Bower and Charlie Wedge.
