TADLEY Calleva A ended Park Phoenix 100 per cent start to the season with a magnificent 7-1 victory in their Hampshire Junior A Cup quarter-final last Saturday.

Bradley Nash’s outfit completely out played their Southampton home side and took the lead after 30 seconds.

Luke Allison was the scorer with a wind assisted shot into the top corner.

The lead was doubled in the 10th minute, when Peter White scored direct from a free-kick and just before half time Andy Johnson put Kye Theodore through to make it 3-0.

White headed in his second from an Allison corner early in the second half.

There was a brief comeback from Phoenix, as they scored from a free-kick to make it 4-1 on the hour, but Theodore then netted again.

On came substitute Gary Hibbs and within five minutes of entry he converted a Dan Walkley cross and then Theodore completed his hat-trick to take his tally to 40 for the season.

Hopes of a home draw in the semi-final were dashed as they will travel to the Isle of Wight to face Ryde Saints on March 5.

The other quarter final between TwentyTen and Shanklin Reserves was postponed due to an unfit pitch and is now due to be played this Saturday at Preston Candover.

Should they get through Alan Spacagna’s side also travel to the Island to face Osbourne Coburg.
