The Basingstoke under-11 Bison went down 10-7 in a high scoring game at Milton Keynes.
The home side took a 3-0 lead, but the visitors levelled things after Henry Emery scored from Patrick Wilson and then both Oliver Hemming-Maher and Freddie Stephens scored.
MK scored twice more, before Finlay Thomas pulled a goal back, but the home extended their lead to 8-4.
A brace of goals from Hemming-Maher to complete his hat-trick got the visitors back into the game.
MK then scored twice more before Roman Cathcart wrapped up the scoring.
