OAKRIDGE GB won the Basingstoke Tuesday Darts Winter League Division One season after going unbeaten all season, while Rucstall Club finished second.

Soldiers Return, Sherfield White Hart and Bramley Inn were all relegated, coming in the opposite direction are Division Two champions Railway Posties, runners-up Academy Dark Vaders and Academy Dark Knights who finished third.

Promoted into Division two are Division Three champs Oakridge Tipplers, along with second placed Labour Club and Westside club who came in third.

Dropping into division three are Queens Arms, Wobblers Return and Academy Assassins.

Oakridge GB’s Roy Brown led the way with 180s with 13 during the season in Division One, while Darryl Hogan was the top shooter in Division Two with six maximums and Scott Vickery (Labour Club) and Steve Kelly (Oakridge Tipplers) scored five each in Division Three.

The highest checkout score in the league was Ex Services Club Sean Read with 161 in DivisonTwo.

Rugby Club’s Simon Gosling recorded 160 in Division One and the best in Division Three was by Oak Mighty Arrows’ Brian Bennett with 140.

The Division One singles winner was Richie Yates (Rugby Club) with club mate Simon Gosling second. The doubles winners were Dave Bennett and Brian Bayford (Overton Memorial Institute) as they beat Rugby Club’s Gosling and Keith Hubbard in the final Division Two’s singles winner was Sean Read (Ex Services Club) with Rob Smith (Academy Dark Knights) the runner-up. The doubles trophy went to Ex Services Club’s Sean Read and Darren Valler, as they beat Academy Dark Knights’ Paul Vasey and Dave Farmer In Division Three the singles crown went to Labour Club’s Scott Vickery ahead of Westside Club B’s Richie Wilson. Conservative Club pair Graham Merry and Mike Tamblin won the doubles crown with victory over Tom McNeil and Graham Handy (Labour Club).

In the last two weeks of the league, Rob Smith (Academy Dark Knights) recorded the highest check-out of 154 There were four more out shots of over 100 from Railway Misfit trio Steve Miller (133), Keith Brown (116) and Marc Squires (103), along with Westside Club B’s Wilson (114) There were also nine 180s with Neil Chadwick producing back-to back ones for Academy Allsorts.

The other seven maximums came from Paul Vasey, Chris Prestleton (Academy Dark Knights), Ian Bennett (Ex Services Club), Jim Spendley (Academy Dart Vaders), David Edwards (Academy Allsorts), Wayne Harvey (Railway Misfits) and Wilson (Westside Club B).
