JUSTIN Rose has been forced to pull out of this coming weekend’s BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.

This is a huge disappointment for the former Robert May’s pupil who classes this event as his home event, having grown up in north Hampshire.

Rose has been forced out of the tournament due to a back injury, which flared up during his rounds at the Players Championship held in Sawgrass. Unfortunately it got worse when he returned to his Florida home.

If his injury eases enough the world number 10 is hoping to come over to Wentworth to watch as a spectator. He has never won the event, but finished tied second in 2012.

Rose is hoping to be back as soon as possible and the former US Open champion is expected to be a key player in Europe’s Ryder Cup team later this year.
