CHINEHAM Tigers FC have been named Hampshire FA Charter Standard Club of the Year 2015/16.
This is a very prestigious award from the Hampshire FA and is an excellent achievement for everybody associated with the club, from the players and parents to the coaches, managers and committee.
Chineham Tigers was founded in 1988 and uses the facilities of local schools and council grounds around the Chineham area as its home.
The club originally started with players from Chineham, but as the club has grown and become more established new members have joined from the surrounding areas.
The Tigers are run by volunteers, there are no paid members or players.
The volunteers that organise and run the club are all focused and dedicated to enabling, encouraging and promoting youth football in Chineham and its surrounding area.
The club strives to provide an environment accessible to as many young people as possible, allowing them to take part in an active and healthy recreation. They aim to encourage as many young people as possible to get into local grass roots football.
