HOWARD Park A blunted the efforts of Oakley Buzzards to win Whitchurch league Division One as they beat them 57-41.

In theory Oakley could still win the league if Basingstoke Town Spades and Howard Park fall away.

Town’s Spades beat Littleton 69-3S so are just one and a half points adrift.

Kingsclere beat Old Basing Cavaliers 59-34 but can only get to third place.

Andover B overcame Alton 48-45 so will stay in the division, but it is fairly certain Hyde Abbey A and Alton will be in Division Two next year.

Promotion from Division Two is between Whitchurch Yellows who had a bye week, Town’s Diamonds who overcame bottom team Littleton Lemurs 53-43 and Andover A who lost to Hook Hares 63-48.

St Mary Bourne Hawks took Marnell Blues out of the equation by beating them 57-30.

In Division Three St Mary Bourne Eagles lost to Old Basing Roundheads but still hold top slot.

Oakley Kingfishers beat Howard Park C in a rearranged game 51-46 and could still get promotion in theory if the top two clubs fall apart.

Despite Andover C winning at Hook Foxes 45-38 they are relegated.

Other results saw Town’s Jokers lose at Kingsclere Partridges 46-44 and Howard Park C beat Whitchurch Blues 57-49.

Oakley Woodpeckers beat Friary 52-30 and lead Division Four ahead of Oakley Kites who beat Howard Park B 56-34.

Thornycroft are close behind although they lost at bottom team Littleton Lions 42-41.

Fourth team Marnell Greens also lost at St Mary Bourne Merlins 57-47.

Only Old Basing Royalists came out smelling of roses as they beat Kingsclere Pheasants 45-36 but are too far down the table to go any further.

BDBA Division One leaders are Oakley as they tucked away their biggest rivals Alton Social 68-52.

In theory Oakley are champions as Kingsclere in second place cannot catch them with a game each to play. Kingsclere beat Old Basing 69-40 sending them into Division Two. Andover beat Town 60-48 and Howard Park beat Whitchurch 67-50.
