Due to a lack of interest Adventure Angling’s club match on the River Kennet was cancelled last Sunday.

This coming Sunday, due to the non organisation of the Basingstoke Championships, the only club having a fixture is Kennet Ospreys who are going to Witherington Farm lets hope this debacle doesn’t occur next year.

The prolific Dandys Ford Fishery owner has put a two 340 gram tins of sweetcorn limit per angler per match on the venue, this comes after some anglers have been feeding 10 to 15 tins of corn per match. Fishery proprietor John Metcalfe took the action because in his opinion sweetcorn does not break down easily, if at all, and he wants to head off a future problem. Pellets have also been restricted to three pints per match, and if the use of luncheon meat is abused I can see a limit coming in on that.
