BASINGSTOKE Town put up a plucky display as they drew 0-0 and dented Dartford’s National League South play-off hopes.
For the Dragons already relegated, it was only their third clean sheet in 19 games during 2016.
This no doubt pleased Town boss Terry Brown, who felt the defending in their last game against Gosport had been awful.
The Dragons boss made four changes to the side which lost on the south coast in midweek, as Dan Lincoln, Jay Gasson, Glen Southam and Simon Dunn all returned, They were in place of Nathan Smart, Shaun McAuley, Aaron Howe and Guri Demuria.
Defences were on top throughout the game, as few clear cut chances were carved out by either sides, with Liam Enver-Marum going closest for the visitors.
Town conclude their home campaign on Saturday when play-off chasing Truro are the visitors to the Camrose.
