THE Basingstoke Bison will have a new title partner for the coming season having linked up with Sherfield School.

This is a coeducational independent day and boarding school, with nursery, pre-prep, prep and senior departments serving pupils aged three months to 18 years.

The new link-up between the English Premier League champions and Sherfield School is set to benefit both parties.

Basingstoke Bison head coach Doug Sheppard said: "This title partnership is great news for all involved with the newly named Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison.

"It is an unbelievable facility and we are really pleased they are coming on board as we look to defend our league title.

"This partnership will not only benefit the Bison, but the juniors at the club as well. I am really excited with this new alliance."

A Sherfield School spokesperson said: “We are delighted to be in partnership with the Basingstoke Bison. We look forward to forging strong links with all involved and can see so many mutually beneficial opportunities for merging the very best in sporting talent and education.”

In addition to academic courses, Sherfield attracts the sporting and artistic elite through partnership programmes with nationally recognised providers of equestrianism, dance, fencing, flying, golf, gymnastics, ice-skating, tennis, performing arts and music.

With a new state of the art boarding house, international pupils will be accommodated together with those who live more locally and enjoy the benefits of flexi-boarding.

This ends the partnership with Paul Baldwin Agencies and Sheppard said: "We would like to thank Paul for being our main sponsor for the past two seasons."

The Herd are set to add to the squad next week with another player signing.
