THE Basingstoke Junior Bison Ice Hockey Club held its annual awards at the Hatch Warren Community Centre.

Joint Head coach Simon Beere: “It was a great evening and allowed us to thank everyone behind the scenes and for players and coaches to look back over a very successful season in Basingstoke.

“With the Bison success the club is on a real high and we’re determined to capitalise on this factor down through the junior ranks to keep a unique hockey town in the United Kingdom on the front foot."

Under-nine Bison awards: Finn Ronan (Most Valuable Player), Ellis Austin (Coaches Player), Felix Hemmings-Maher (Most Improved Player), Jude Affleck (Players’ Player/Most Consistent Player).

Under-11 Bison awards: Billy Gillard (Most Valuable Player/Most Consistent Player), Oliver Hemmings-Maher (Coaches Player), Jeremy Davis (Most Improved Player) and Roman Cathcart (Players’ Player).

Under-13 Bison awards: Travis Penny (Most Valuable Player/Most Points), Sophie Halstead (Coaches Player), Harry Bewer (Most Improved Player), Harrison Wynn (Players’ Player), Sam Hemmings-Maher (Best Defender) and Cain Russell (Best Forward).

Under-15 Bison awards: Oliver Bower (Most Valuable Player), Sam Childs (Coaches Player),, Ciaran Norris (Players’ Player), Thomas Banner (Best Defender), Andre Norris (Best Forward), William Birch (Most Points).

Under-18 Bison awards: Cam Buckle (Most Valuable Player/Best Forward), Liam Coleman (Players’ Player/Most Points), George Gill (Coaches Player), Sam Compton (best defender) and Christian Han (Most improved).

Under-20 Bison awards: Jordan Lawday (most valuable player), Paul Petts (coaches player), Jack Enticknap (Players’ Player/Most improved player), Sam Compton (Best defender), Hallam Wilson (best forward/most points).
